African Hoodoo Workshop Course

This module traces the origins of Hoodoo from its African roots to its evolution in the American South. You’ll understand how enslaved Africans preserved their ancestral magic while blending it with Native American and European folk influences. Learn the art of candle magic, one of the most important practices in Hoodoo. You’ll discover how different candle colors carry specific meanings (for love, money, health, and protection) and how to dress, charge, and prepare candles with oils, herbs, and carvings. This module shows you how to raise and focus energy through the flame - turning your candles into powerful conduits for transformation and communication with the spiritual realm.

Petitions are the written heart of every Hoodoo ritual. In this module, you’ll learn how to write precise, positive, and energetically charged petitions to the universe, your ancestors, or spirits. You’ll be guided on when to fold toward or away from yourself, how to anoint papers with oils or herbs, and how to strengthen their vibration using personal symbols or names. By the end, you’ll know how to transform words into working energy that manifests your goals.

Before any ritual can succeed, cleansing is essential. This module teaches the traditional Hoodoo methods for purifying your body, home, and tools - from salt baths and herb smudges to floor washes and smoke rituals. You’ll learn how to release negativity, banish unwanted influences, and prepare yourself energetically for spellwork, ensuring your intentions move forward clearly and effectively.
